Introduction and effect of natural selection analysis at common mutations of SARS-CoV-2 spike gene in Iran
In conclusion, the results provide the significant data to design an effective vaccine based on this protein.PMID:37595664 | DOI:10.1016/j.virusres.2023.199202

Comparative Analysis and Identification of Spike Mutations in Iranian COVID-19 Samples from the First Three Waves of Disease
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that developing effective vaccines requires identifying the predominant variants of SARS-CoV-2 in each community.PMID:37564431 | PMC:PMC10410413 | DOI:10.4103/abr.abr_171_22

Serum Level of Antibodies Against Novel Acinetobacter Baumannii OmpA-selected Peptides in ICU Staff: Promise for the Future of Vaccine Development
This study demonstrates A baumannii colonization at human mucosal surfaces, especially in exposed healthy workers. Novel OmpA-derived peptides could be used to identify immunogenic vaccine candidates. Therefore, more studies are needed before this peptide and antibody levels are used in diagnosis, prevention, or treatment.PMID:37496408 | DOI:10.18502/ijaai.v22i2.12676

Phylogenetic analysis and docking study of neuraminidase gene of influenza A/H1N1 viruses circulating in Iran from 2010 to 2019
This study highlighted the evolutionary trend of influenza A virus/H1N1 circulating in Iran, which provides a preliminary viewpoint for a better comprehension of new emerging strains' virulence and thus, more appropriate monitoring of influenza virus A/H1N1 during each outbreak season.PMID:37490957 | DOI:10.1016/j.virusres.2023.199182

Molecular characterization and phylogenetic study of the hemagglutinin-neuraminidase gene of newcastle disease virus isolated from peacock (Pavo cristatus) and Turkey (Meleagris) and its comparison with broiler isolates
In conclusion, a new NDV variant with multiple site mutagenesis is circulating not only among chickens but also in turkey and captive birds such as peafowls, and failure of routine vaccination programs could be attributed to the differences between circulating NDV strains and those used in vaccine manufacturing. Therefore, future legislation aimed at providing vaster vaccination cover and biosecurity plans will be needed to control the spread of circulating NDV strains.PMID:37254016 | DOI:10.1007/s00203-023-03592-y
